Competition Entry Software

We are again using easy to use online software to enter your photos into our competitions and now open for all next season’s competitions. The login page can be accessed by clicking on this link

Please note that this year we have slightly increased the sizing requirements so any size can be entered up to a maximum of 1920 x 1280 pixels.  Any files larger than 10 MB in size are rejected by the software.


The Rules

  • You must be a paid-up member to enter.
  • Images must be originally captured through a camera. Computer-generated images are not allowed.
  • Images previously entered into a Knaresborough Camera Club competition are not allowed.
  • The copyright of any image submitted must belong to the member and will remain their property. By entering your image, the club might choose to use it on its website, for inter-club competitions, or publicity. If you do not wish us to do this please tell us. You have this option in the competition software during the upload process.
  • The maximum number of DPI or prints will be stated when each competition is announced. The entry software will also indicate the number.
  • All entries are submitted to the judges anonymously to retain impartiality.
  • Digital entries must be made using our competition software, PhotoEntry.
  • DPI files must be in jpg format, with any size up to a maximum of 1600 x1200 pixels in landscape mode, 1200 x 1200 pixels in square mode or 800x1200 pixels in portrait mode. The colour space should ideally be in sRGB and files larger than 10MB in size will be rejected by the software. 
  • Print entries are to be a maximum size of 400mm x 500mm including the mount. A digital version of the print should also be submitted via PhotoEntry to facilitate scoring.
  • Monochrome-only means an image of one colour including all its tones. The term monochrome includes the "black and white" and tonal variations between them (greys). Monochrome images may be entered in any competition but one that has colours "popped" in a different one to the main image should be entered only for colour competitions.
  • Members must discretion regarding imagery that other members may find offensive. The club reserves the right to remove any such image it believes contravenes this request.
